Meet Niel du Plooy, owner of The Midnight Bean Café

Niel’s story is quite unique in that he is a specialist physician and having gone through 13 years of training and late nights on call feeling tired, lonely, and scared where if you are lucky, you can get an "ok" cup of coffee during the day, never a world class cup, and definitely never after hours.

To solve this problem Niel built a completely self-sufficient coffee cart to provide great coffees and other hot beverages at hospitals around the metro allowing him to go anywhere, and serve their great coffee anywhere anytime.

During the day you will find Niel and his team at Street Food Social serving up their coffee between 7am and 5pm so come down and give them a try!
