On Monday the 3rd of April at 02h59, our armed response officer conducted a routine patrol. He identified 3 suspicious males cutting cables from an electric pole near Main road. A second armed response officer arrived to assist, and two of the three suspects were apprehended.
After further investigation the suspects was linked by SAPS to a robbery at knifepoint in the Main road prior to this incident.

Social enterprise links townships to information superhighway | News24 Among the many inequalities exposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the digital divide is probably the most stark.
64 years ago, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama entered India after 14 days treacherous journey.
“We were all very tired. I remember I had an attack of dysentery, a problem I found was quite common to India. I was in India, the land of our spiritual inspiration. I was both happy and sad, sad that we were forced to leave our home but happy that we were in India where Buddhism began,” His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama said.
Today, His Holiness is not only the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people but is a global icon of peace and a beacon of hope for millions of people around the world.

Hilda who is 79 makes these baskets, we love it when she makes her way to us, she comes when she has finished 3 - or 4 bowls which take her about 2 months to make. Each one is unique and all the patterns and stories flow from her heart. These bowls are very specialized and not many crafters are making them any more as they are very difficult and time consuming to make. The heavy gauge wire that makes up the baskets is very tough on hands. Hilda is incredibly strong and when she left yesterday her words were "Woza keeps her going, as she loves seeing how excited we get when we see her baskets." We have commissioned her to make a 1m bowl for our artists wall, which will take a month to make. We will keep you posted.

The incredible story of how the Internet came to South Africa Most people have forgotten that Rhodes University first brought the gift of connection to South Africa. This is the story of the pioneers who did it.
Our drilling team's family paid us a visit recently. Sonja the wife of Martyn Landmann, said that one of her neighbour's had just bought the Gift book and it was very visible in the vehicle. Someone broke in, stole the book and nothing else. The neighbour bought a second copy.
💚 to our fellow South Africans 🇿🇦 who have so lovingly followed our 30 year history, and thank you to corporates for buying bulk copies for their staff.
We deeply appreciate everyone's interest in our growth, development and interventions.
