1. What was your favourite activity to do at the farm as a child?
āAnything adventurous! This varied from nature walks or runs with my dad, swimming in the dam & playing with mud to riding quad bike.ā
2. What is something you look forward to when going to the farm?
āThe serenity and peacefulness. An opportunity to disconnect digitally.ā
3. Favourite part of running the olive oil bizz?
āGetting to connect with people in the community that value high quality food & prioritise their health.ā
4. Favourite thing about EVOO?
āNot only that it tastes good with almost every dish but adds tremendous nutritional value. Thatās where the gold in liquid gold lies.ā
5. Misconception that people have about olive farming?
āThat one can eat an olive straight off of the tree, well you can but, it sure wonāt taste good.ā
6. Favourite snack?
āHands down fresh bread soaked in olive oil. I wouldnāt be surprised if half my bloodstream is olive oil by now.ā
7. Word of advice for individuals who want to become entrepreneurs?
āJust start somewhere. You got to have a go-getter attitude, look for opportunities and start discussions with people that can share first hand experience / their perspective on the industry. The sooner you start the earlier you can reap the benefits.ā
8. Whatās your wish for those that enjoy Piquetberg olive oil?
āThat a moment is taken to truly taste and appreciate natures gift.ā

Our extra virgin olive oil is made of the finest Frantoio, Mission & Coratina olives.
At the start of the harvest season not all olives are fully ripened therefore greener olives and higher in chlorophyll. The greener olives not only provides the most premium olive oil, with a vibrant green colour but also contains plenty of vitamins and antioxidants, contributing to numinous health benefits.
This combination provides a delicious smooth buttery flavour with a hint of grassiness and peppery aftertaste.
Piquetberg olive oil pairs well with a variety of home cooked dishes and fresh salads.

āGetting to meet a whole bunch of foodies - my type of people.ā

āBesides that itās delicious, it also has amazing health benefits.ā
5.Misconception that people have about olive farming?Ā
āAn olive tree typically takes about 5 to 7 years to start producing a significant amount of olives to press for olive oil production.ā
6. Favourite snack?Ā
āHands down fresh bread drizzled with olive oil & balsamic vinegar, throw in an Aperol Spritz along with that and Iām one happy girl!ā
7. Word of advice for individuals who want to become entrepreneurs?Ā
āDonāt be discouraged by a slow start.ā
