A quote by Henry Miller sums up exactly how I feel, artistically and... about everything! --I have a theory that the moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself. I have tried this experiment a thousand times and I have never been disappointed. The more I look at a thing, the more I see in it, and the more I see in it, the more I want to see. It is like peeling an onion. There is always another layer, and another, and another. And each layer is more beautiful than the last.
This is the way I look at the world. I don't see it as a collection of objects, but as a vast and mysterious organism. I see the beauty in the smallest things, and I find wonder in the most ordinary events. I am always looking for the hidden meaning, the secret message. I am always trying to understand the mystery of life.
I know that I will never understand everything, but that doesn't stop me from trying.
I am content to live in the mystery, to be surrounded by the unknown. I am content to be a seeker, a pilgrim, a traveler on the road to nowhere.

Pricing - R700 - 900/h depending on length of the event/meeting and individual circumstances, as well as the outcome. Cost for hours shooting covers editing time. I generally hand over 30-50 or 70-100 good photos for a 1 or 2 hour shoot respectively.

I have been taking photos almost all my life, professionally since 2010. I love creating artistic, natural images of young children who are not yet overly camera conscious. I work with minimal gear, blending into intimate events as best I can, to produce images capturing the energy and emotion of the moment. For private/individual portrait shoots, I suggest outings (picnics work well) to your favourite places to create a natural setting, but am also happy to work in a home setting. Your own garden or play area can be a great option. I can also offer more posed, traditional portraits and party coverage where requested, but this is not my default style. I look forward to creating some wonderful, natural, artistically captured memories for you.

I also offer tutoring for 1 or 2 people at a rate of R300/h in a location of your choice and/or editing in Lightroom on your workstation to help you gain better control of your post process setup. I can also guide most of the mountain hikes in the Cape Peninsula on a casual basis (not as a qualified tour guide), at a tutoring rate of R200/h for 1-2 people and R300/h for more. The Cape mountains offer amazing sweeping vistas as well as endless beautiful details in the extremely diverse fynbos.
