ARE YOU AWARE that Cockroaches can move in drain systems?????
They are attracted to the moisture, warmth, and food that can be found in drains. Cockroaches can also use drains to travel from one place to another, such as from the sewerage system into a home or building.
How do Cockroaches get into your drains:
• Via the P-trap (The curved part of the pipe under your sink or bathtub.) It is designed to trap water and prevent sewerage gases from coming up the drain. However, cockroaches can sometimes get into the P-trap and then up into the drain.
• Via cracks or holes in the pipes. Cockroaches are very good at squeezing through tight spaces, so they can easily get into drains through small cracks or holes.
•Through the vent pipe ( The pipe that connects the drain to the outside of the building.) helps to release sewerage gases and prevent them from backing up into the building. However, cockroaches can also get into the drain through the vent pipe.

With Spring in full swing, you might be hearing the Birds in your ceiling!
Did you know?
1. That breathing dust or water droplets containing contaminated bird droppings can lead to several diseases, including flu-like symptoms? Salmonella - a bacterial infection that can cause diarrhoea - may also be present in some bird droppings.
2. They can cause property damage by dislodging roof tiles, blocking guttering, building nests and leaving droppings that corrode.
3. They can be aggressive and attack you especially during the breeding season when they are defending their young.
4. They carry fleas, mites, ticks, lice and other biting insects which can spread diseases and pose a serious health risk.
Our pest prevention and removal products are not only safe for children and pets but also environmental friendly, odourless and colourless.
Please feel free to contact us on 0814566752 with any questions. We available on WhatsApp https://wa.me/message/BHIGQXYS6RCJD1
Spring is full swing and Bee swarming season is officially in process! Here's what to do when you see a swarm of bees on your property!
1. Inside that ball of bees is a Queen who has just been given her marching orders. She has laid her successor/s and the new queens may have hatched or are about to hatch.
2. Once they have settled in the ball, the Queen releases a pheromone instructing the scout bees to go and look for a new home.
3. Keep your distance and do not wet or interfere with the swarm at all.
4. Send a photo and as much information about where the bees are.
5. Sometimes they only stay for a few hours but can be up to a 1 - 3 days out of experience.
6. Bees rarely build open air hives as it may leave them too exposed. They much prefer cavities in the ground, tree cavities, and the likes.
🐝🐝🐝
When bees swarm, they are at their most vulnerable and will be completely defenseless as they have no brood, no honey, no stores to defend.
They will also have full stomachs having gorged on honey and or bee bread prior to swarming.
They go and scout around and report back to the swarm and mark the locations they have sourced. If they feel there are viable options, more scouts go and look until a quorum is reached and a suitable home is decided upon.
Once this has happened they will move off and leave as quickly as they arrived.
PLEASE NOTE 🐝🐝🐝
Most of us charge a call out fee which varies according to the accessibility of the bees and covers our time and travel, experience and equipment.
Please don't make us feel guilty for asking a fee, it's a specialised service we are offering. We love what we do, but it comes at a cost too!

Did you know that we are currently facing a cockroach outbreak in South Africa?
Unfortunately, the hot and humid summer season has brought on an influx of cockroaches! Another attribute are the home remedies and "fake" pest control solutions that has allowed Cockroaches build a stronger resistance!
Cockroaches thrive best in heated conditions and especially the humidity underneath electrical appliances and basins, which is where they often set up breeding colonies!
Another important factor is that unhygienic practices and spaces also plays a huge role in the infestation as they provided ideal conditions for cockroaches to breed at an alarming rate.

With the colder days approaching Rodents are starting to make themselves cosy in homes, burrows, roofs etc.... Because of their rapid reproduction rate, ignoring the signs of a rodent infestation in the early stages can later become a dire decision.
Rodents can live up to 3-4 years. Within those 4 years, female rats can produce 7 litters per year. Within those 7 litters, they can birth 5-12 pups.
Before you know it, you’ll be outnumbered by rodents and they’ll be the new owners of your home!
