Challenges are a normal part of the process and they may even cause you to doubt whether you should be on the path you're on...
..but you shouldn't give up, because it's all preparing you for what lies ahead!

Go through it all knowing that you will be better prepared to handle the next level of things and grow through everything ❤️

And remember, asking for help is also a necessary part of the process.
Nobody expects you to know or be able to do it all yourself!

Your business model and goals will determine your strategy...

For example, if you are selling an affordable product that needs hundreds of sales for your business to be profitable, then you would have a different strategy to a service provider that only has the capacity to take on 10 clients at a premium pricing.

Your content, growth plan and customer retention rate will be different...

And in the same way, the strategy for an event would be different to those listed above, in its own way.

Understanding those key differences will help you focus on the right areas to help you make a difference in how you connect with people and convert them into customers - regardless of how the social platforms you are on may change 😉

Yes, it's frustrating putting what you offer out there and not getting much of a response in terms of sales, but giving up is not the answer...

You need to look into what the problem could be and adapt what you're doing to try and get better results 🎯

It's been change after change for the last 6 months... 🤦🏽‍♀️

Since last August, it's been one thing after the other, some changes I had planned for and others took me by surprise! 😬

The best way for me to handle that has been to take things one day or sometimes one step at a time if the day was overwhelming in itself 😅

I share this to remind you that there are challenges at every stage of life...

Even when you are actually living the life you prayed to live one day, it doesn't mean it will be smooth sailing and perfection all the time. Those bumps and hurdles have moulded you into the person you are today and the person you will go on to become 🙌🏾 ...that's life!

The last 6months have reminded me how precarious life can be...

And staying focused on what you are working towards, your purpose in life, the person you are working to become and the good people in your life, makes celebrating where you are [even amidst tumultuous changes] worth celebrating and being grateful for! 🤩🥳🥰

5 Things I'm especially grateful for this week...
✨ my health
✨ the vision I have for my life that keeps me going
✨ my loving support system
✨ the people that trust me with their businesses
✨ my positive outlook on life, cause wow, this world!

The first thing I did when I wanted to get serious with my online business? 👇🏽

Ask for help and tried to learn as much as I could from others‼️

I was on a discovery call with start-up earlier today and I love how clear they were on where they ultimately wanted to get their business and the impact they want it to have...

They were still trying to figure out how they would go about building their business and achieving their goal - and that's where I come in... 💁🏽‍♀️

Thinking you know everything is the number 1 to sabotage your own growth and success because it is physically impossible to know it all 🙃 and knowing you need help and not asking for it, is just as bad by the way 🤨

Even if you are an expert in something, continually opening yourself up to learning from others can help improve your efforts or help you uncover new, maybe quicker ways of doing something - which can help you reach your objectives sooner.

What's keeping you from actualy executing on your plans? 👇🏽

Something interesting that came up in our Group Coaching session last night was how planning ahead is doable, but actually executing on that plan can sometimes be the hard part.

👉🏽 It could be because life happened and things got busy and now months have passed and that plan is collecting dust.

👉🏽 Or maybe you have a plan and got stuck with your ex*****on cause you didn't know how to or weher to start.

Either way, a plan is useless, if you don't action it!

And I'm here to remind you that planning is necessary cause it will make your life easier, yes!

BUT!

There is no way you can see results if you don't actually implement and put action behind those plans 🤷🏽‍♀️

And if the last year has left you not wanting to make plans, then I urge you to rather map out how you can possibly adapt your plans if things were to change instead of not planning at all. Planning is necessary, but being agile is crucial in these uncertain times! 💯

This doesn't only speak to what you share and how you put yourself out there and connect with people, but also what content you consume while on thsi platform.

1️⃣ Making sure what you share and put on this platform reflects who you are and what you value or believe in will make showing up here consistently much easier!

How?

Well, think about how draining it is to pretend to be something or someone you aren't 😩 ...it's EXHAUSTING!

So, being yourself and speaking to people as you normally would removes the pressure of 'doing it right' and makes your connections more authentic.

2️⃣ Curating the content you consume on this platform is necessary because it will make sure you see posts that inspire and feed your spirit and don't leave you feeling less than or comparing yourself to others.

How?

Stay mindful of the content you look at, like and save!

👉🏽 Following people that educate you, make you laugh or inspire you is the first step.
👉🏽 Next you need to mute friends & family that brings up negative feelings and just unfollow pages you might have outgrown - open the list of people you follow to see the accounts you've "Least Interacted With" and unfollow.
👉🏽 Then you'll need to engage with posts (like, save and share) posts you want to see more of on your home feed to trigger their content being shown to you more.

Keep in mind that any new pages you follow will take priority (show up at the top) on your home feed.

And content you like, save or engage with that you don't follow will be shown to you on your explore feed, along with content that is similar to it!

SO if you want to see less, food pics, memes or celebrity news, you know what to do!

In a nutshell...
Sully: Miracle on the Hudson, is based on a true story about a commercial pilot who makes an emergency landing on the Hudson River after his plane [with over 150 passengers] is hit by birds.

It got me thinking about how the human element is often not factored into things when people rush to get the formulas and secrets to success.

Human element - your experience, your interests & personality, your unique story!

You can imitate what someone did to achieve what they have in life, but you can never become who they are..

You don't have the same life experiences and can't think, act or see the world as they do.

So you have to figure out what YOU want and enjoy doing and couple that with how you can use all that you have at your disposal to get to it.

This life thing is a journey towards becoming and not just hitting targets.

And THAT is why I always encourage my clients and audience to get clear on their vision and just be themselves on this platform...
.cause when that resistance or those challenges come, it will be much easier to stick to your guns and press on!

Following formulas is good and all, but being yourself and sharing that with the world is what I believe the world needs more of.. ❤

Being a content expert doesn't mean I have everything perfect or all figured out remember 😜 and that's ok, as long as I adapt accordingly and don't stop trying, right?

Slowing down and setting things right again is my main focus for the 2nd half of the year...

How do I honour the youth that we commemorate on this day?

Days like today aren't simply to remember the sacrifices made, but to reflect on how those sacrifices have impacted us and our lives.

I am grateful for those that came before me and the tough sacrifices they made, that contributed to making the life I live today possible.

I work daily to live a life that I choose and not one that I have been pushed into.
