Do you work in online communication in South Africa's non-profit sector? What if you could join a community of peers and practitioners to build your online communication skills and potential?

Applications are now OPEN for DGMT’s Amplify | Mobilise| Change: Digital Communications for NGOs learning programme, 2022. Learn core strategic and practical areas in online communication, from integrated planning to audience research and content strategy.

30 online communication practitioners will have the opportunity to complete a selection of online modules, fine-tune their core technical skills in practical sessions, develop and run an online campaign and complete an integrated online communication plan – with support and guidance every step of the way from the programme team.

This opportunity is open to all registered non-profit organisations in South Africa, including those funded by DGMT, and runs for 7 months – from the end of April till end November 2022. You will learn and share 100% online. All programme costs (except your computer/ connected device and data) are subsidised by DGMT.

Free Screening at Encounters - Cold Case Hammarskjöld by Mads Brügger
The Encounters International Documentary Festival is arranging a special screening and a panel discussion of the film:Cold Case Hammarskjöld by Mads Brügger

The film presents allegations about South African involvement in the plane crash in 1961 in which the United Nations Secretary General Dag Hammarskjöld and 15 others were killed. The film also suggests that a paramilitary organization, The South African Institute for Maritime Research, had the intention to spread AIDS in an attempt to maintain white supremacy in Southern Africa.
