Dillan Domingo contacted me all the way from the small town of Albtertinia, we always pass through there & normally stop at the Shell, when we travel up the N2 🤓👌🏽

Andries de Beer needed a set of leads for his 1.6 Ford Ikon (Rocam) Turbo setup...he was having an issue where the leads were running too close to the turbo manifold. We discussed the options & Andries went with the recommendation of adding a set of heat sleeves to the MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor leads in black.

Andries sent me these engine bay pics & gave me feedback that the new housings are shorter & so the clear the manifold much better, plus the MSD have the option to be bent up away for the turbo manifold with the multiangle pins I fitted. Then, we also added the sleeves for extra heat resistance.

Adries has confirmed that the cold start has improved & the engine runs smoother...all part of the benefits of improved spark delivery.

Just wanted to express my gratitude to all who pulled through on Saturday is support of the fund raiser for Nash!

We appreciate all of you! The turnout was massive, pulled through & served his epic menu, Charlie Burgers, Crispy Chicken & the chef's special, Masala Steak bowls & they stayed open over an hour after the planned sales & successfully sold out the pop up! Today I bring you guys something very special...since it's not every day that you get to build a set of leads for an aeroplane...yes, you heard right, an Aeroplane! 🛩

Here we have Neil's Vans RV-8 Experimental Aircraft. Neil was referred by the owner of the previous Vans RV-8 I built leads for.

Neil came to visit & brought along the magneto from the plane & showed me what the plan was & I guided him on how he should add the connection points to the leads to ensure proper conductivity.

Neil gave me feedback & sent me the pics of the leads on the plane, Neil confirmed that everything was working perfectly on the ground & once happy, he took it for a flight & it all worked flawlessly 🙏🏼🤓⚡️👌🏽

Today we have something less common. Here we have 's Mazda 323, fitted with my favourite Toyota engine, the very capable, 4AGE 16v small port, making it even better, it is fitted with a set of individual throttle bodies!

Zacharia requested that I build a set of the MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor leads, so I headed out to his uncle's workshop & we built them on the car.

Zacharia let me know that the engine is running much smoother & startup was easier too. I am just awaiting his final feedback, as they were busy with an engine flush, so he couldn't push it just yet.

Hope that everyone is having a great week! Almost weekend...then we get to drive a bit longer than the usual rush & with less cars on the road...more fun! 🤓👌🏽

This evening's post is not a car feature, but shows off my working space & letting you know that I have plenty of stock, so I am ready to build whatever you need! 👍🏽

So, no matter what you drive, I can build a set of leads that will outperform any standard or aftermarket shop bought leads!

Why a high-performance set? What makes it better?

I specifically use MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor. These leads are the exact same leads you see supplying the spark on the NHRA Top Fuel dragsters making in excess of 12,000hp! These leads are just 50 ohms resistance per foot (+- 30cm). This lower resistance reduces the voltage drop while the spark travels from the coil to the spark plug...this results in a stronger, more consistent spark...what does this give you?

Better cold start
Improved throttle response
Better higher RPM performance
Improved fuel consumption too! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Newsflash...we've gone international again, this time to Belgium 🇧🇪

Peter De Bolle contacted me & share pictures of his setup, it's a 4AGE Black Top 20v with 264 Toda cams in a AW11 Toyota MR2 😎👌🏽 He uses the MR2 in Rally Cross aka RallyX 😎

Peter specifically requested a set of leads that would work with his 20v but with a VW style 4 tower coil as he was not able to get a set of leads that would suit his application & the previously used leads were sitting very loose on the engine.

So after getting all the specs, I went ahead & built the setup, boxed them up & then arranged courier from Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦 to Affligem, Belgium 🇧🇪 The DHL Express service for the leads from me to Peter super fast, leads were handed over to DHL Monday, 18 Mar & arrived on Wednesday, 20 Mar...faster than some of the local deliveries...lol

Peter is super happy with his setup & the car is running nicely now & everything fits perfectly 🤓⚡️💪🏾

This evening I bring you something special...Christo messaged me out of Kimberly & asked if I could build a set of leads for his race car, upon further discussion, he informed me that the leads were for his 2.1 8v Opel Corsa race car.

I got the lengths that he needed, as well as detail on the coils that he is running & gave some input on the connectors needed & offered him a 90 degree option, which we decided to go with.

Last week I got a call out to Killarney International Raceway by Leon from LJS Auto Repairs.

Leon requested a set of MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor leads for this BMW E30 6cyl race car.

Check out the pics of the setup & the car. I think that the leads came out really nice & I replaced cable ties that held the leads together with some nice chrome look wire separators.

The owner of the race car is happy with the work completed & Leon confirmed that she is running perfectly on all 6 cylinders 🤓👌🏽

I am so super excited to bring you this update! Toward the end of last year I had the idea of getting some business branding on my '97 Honda Ballade 180i Luxline...so I dropped a message to the best in the business by far Tony Grifo

The only input I gave to Tony was saying since it's a Japanese car, can we maybe do a Samurai theme & then Tony was give the full creative freedom to create the design & Tony absolutely knocked it out of the park!

Tony printed & sent the graphic vinyls down to CPT from me & Jean-pierre Heck then did the application while consulting with Tony throughout the process & damn...the Ballade definitely turns heads now!

Check out the process from concept to fully executed end result! 🔥😎💪🏾

The Ballade just needs to drop a bit closer to the earth now...but those plans are already being executed as we speak, just need to find a gap to fit the parts!
