Voting Day Tomorrow!

Both Greenpoint & Tamboerskloof will be open for lunch and dinner on voting day.
We have ensured that all our teams who wish to vote, are able to vote.

AND

have kindly offered to give any customers with a voters mark a free shot of Cabrito Reposado or a Tequila Margarita when you order food and have your voters mark. (Wed 29 may only) That’s pretty cool.

How do we survive the never ending Cape winter you ask? Mexican Hot Chocolate & Tequila of course!

Home made Mexican hot chocolate made with 71% couverture chocolate, ground almonds, cinnamon and a hint of sugar. The mix is dairy free, so you can choose to have milk or vegan oat milk :)

We’ve got you covered during load shedding 💡both our Tamboerskloof and Green Point branches have generators to keep cooking while Eskom keeps Eskoming 🙈

Update - Wednesday 9 Aug ‘23

Both Greenpoint & Tamboerskloof are now open and will be open this evening.

Waiting to hear the outcome of today’s meeting to see how tomorrow pans out. Will keep you updated.

We still have teams stuck at home. Our promise is never to ask any of our team to travel unless they are 100% safe. Let’s hope this strike breaks tonight.

Update - Tues 8 Aug ‘23

El B***o Greenpoint is open as of 14:00 today, and will be open this evening.

El B***o Tamboerskloof Kloof Nek will be open this evening from 17:00 onwards.

Half of our teams are at home, safe and not attempting to travel. Those who are able to travel have come in get the wheels moving.

Some have asked for safe accommodation over night, as night travel is worse at the moment. We have provided hotel rooms accordingly, and sleep better knowing they are safe and happy. This is voluntary, and actually been requested.

We are firmly Opposed the the notion of “no work no pay.” Those at home will be paid in full, and we do this as a team to keep going.

Our teams are phenomenal. And we are deeply deeply thankful for them.
Everybody has come in voluntarily and we are proud of our El B***o family. We are honored to work alongside such good people.

Tomorrow is another day. We will update you again if it’s safe to trade or not. Yesterday we closed one restaurant, and ran the other only on 1 shift. 75% of our team stayed home yesterday. Safety is paramount. If we have to close we will.

Greenpoint will be OPEN this evening from 15:00 today.

El B***o Tamboerskloof Kloof Nek will remain CLOSED today completely.

Please rest assured that Greenpoint is being run by a team who are able to travel safely. We will not trade unless is is safe to do so.
We will take each day as it comes.

An old favourite making a guest appearance at our Green Point branch this evening: the Dark Chocolate Fondant 🤤 made with 70% couverture chocolate and served alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream, this decadent dessert with have you feeling all warm and cosy inside.

At around 7:15pm our Bebe B***o was taken from our Kloofnek store .. carried away by a Caucasian male, late 30’s to early 40’s with glasses.

Baby b***o is 60cms, pink in colour, with white inscription.

If you know the whereabouts of Bebe B***o or have any leads.. there’s a bottle of tequila in his successful return (thanks to )
