Mandela Day is definitely one of the highlights of our year! The community truly comes together to support and spoil is.

This year we would like to thank:

🥯 Montreal Coffee & Bagels for the delicious bagels, filled with heavenly cream cheese. You can find them in Paardevlei or Stellies (worth the trip)!
🥕 The Tutor Hub, the parents, tutors and pupils for all the amazing clothes, food and toiletries. They offer home school support, tutoring and remedial services in Somerset (exactly what any mom needs).

On Wednesday we were gifted a fantastic present - a large floor scale that can weigh more than 500kg and more importantly weigh our little angels on their wheelchairs!

This game-changer was gifted to us by Marco and Redica Intini and the NG Kerk Strand North. Marco even trained the staff, so we are ready to do this weekend's weighing. Thank you so much for this generous donation - it is going to save us a lot of money and effort. 💙

We cannot end the week on a good note, without thanking the wonderful team from Independent Media for filling our cupboards with loads of festive spoils including food, choccies, biscuits, chips, and sweets. This is such a treat, especially during the holidays! 💙

Every year the Brethren of Strand Lodge bless our angels with an individualised Christmas gift. It almost feels like a Christmas tradition by now, but it is no less appreciated. Thank you for making our day every year! 💙

Things have been slowing down at Little Angels home and it has been such a blessing because the last two months have been busy, busy...

Slowing down also usually means time for DIY projects. Luckily, BTM Joinery from the Strand jumped in and built us a nappy cupboard, a bedroom cupboard, lockers for the staff, and a toy box, If that wasn't enough, they even fixed a long overdue faulty door.

Thank you for the wonderful, friendly service BTM team. Things like these make our day-to-day so much easier. 💙

We celebrated the end of the year in Hollywood style this week - honouring the ladies that take care of our angels every single day.

It was an evening filled with lots of glitz, glam, laughs, and celebrations! Thank you to everyone who made this evening possible (everything was just perfect):

Redica Intini and her Old Mutual South Africa graduates cooked their way to our hearts last Friday, with a DELICIOUS lunch for all the staff and angels. Spreading Love and Care on Mandela Day!

In celebration of Mandela Day, Boxwood Property Fund proudly donated nappies to Happy Angels, joining forces with our amazing tenants (The Box) who also contributed generously. This annual initiative supports Little Angels Children's Home, an NPO caring for children with special needs aged 0 to 18 years who are in dire need of - among other things - diapers.

Let's cherish the spirit of giving back and making a difference in the lives of these precious little ones!
