The Wildlife Tourism College of Maasai Mara (WTC) is a vital wildlife tourism training institution for the Maasai people of Kenya. 🇰🇪

Tourism provides key employment opportunities in Africa, where one job can feed a household of 10 in some cases. This can mobilise entire communities to protect their environment, collaborate with authorities in mitigating human-wildlife conflict, and create sustainable income-generating opportunities for themselves.

It’s World Elephant Day 🐘 a day to celebrate safari giants and all the attributes that make them so unique - did you know?

🐘You can tell African and Asian elephants apart by the shape of their ears
🐘 An elephant’s trunk is made up of over 100,000 muscles making it incredibly dextrous
🐘 They are constantly eating
🐘 Each herd has a lead female known as the matriarch
🐘 These majestic mammals are also incredibly intelligent
