YOU ARE WORTH IT ! ⠀ ⠀ Self-investment or Selfishness? As a mom, wife and entrepreneur running a business; it can often feel like taking some time out for myself is pure selfishness, but then I’m reminded of the in-flight safety demo where they say that you need to put the oxygen mask on yourself before helping another with theirs. ⠀ ⠀ I can’t be who I am or want to be without taking out a little bit of time to just focus on Me. To reconnect with my inner voice, to have quiet time in His Word. ⠀ ⠀ Another treat/ challenge for me is definitely having my own photo taken. This “fear” of being photographed when I was younger soon turned into a challenge of how can I be more comfortable in front of the camera and I realised that alot of women have the same problem. ⠀ ⠀ Each person that has been in front of my camera in the past 14 years has been unique and beautiful in their own way. I feel honoured to have been able to capture their beauty through my lens because my biggest motivation when starting my photography journey was to dispel that “fear” for other women. So that they can see their own beauty and that despite what their own perception is of beauty that they too can be “Cover Model “ material. ⠀ ⠀ Why then more Weddings and not solely Portrait focused? I realised that most women see their wedding day as THE day where they are allowed to spend time, effort and money on how they look and how they photograph and where they feel they are worth it!
