We are so proud of the Pragma Speeders who competed and conquered the Trans Baviaans this weekend - https://bit.ly/4dldcca. The race is renowned as the toughest team single-stage MTB race in the world and is a test of endurance and teamwork. The teams travel 230 km from Willowmore Town through the Baviaans Kloof and end in Jeffery’s Bay.

Congratulations, Kribban Coopoosamy, Tawanda Zimbiti and Bongani Khumalo, for completing the race in 21:43:45. After a brave team attempt to help Keith Zimbiti over the finish line, he, unfortunately, dropped out on 192 km mark. The team received a hero's welcome at the finish line, contributing to a truly unforgettable experience.

The race constantly tests the team's dynamics to the core, from emotional strength to pure physical fitness - the race motto, “where team spirit gets a whole new meaning,” is so true of this gruelling event.

Today, a new era has kicked off in Pragma, with Scott Gibson taking over as CEO. After a thorough handover process from his predecessor, Adriaan Scheeres, Scott is ready to steer the Pragma business forward and build on the solid foundation that Adriaan leaves behind.

Founder and longstanding Pragma CEO, Adriaan Scheeres stepped down to enjoy his well-deserved retirement after a 34-year tenure at Pragma. Although he is off to a short break, true to his character, Adriaan already have some ventures to look forward to. Last week, team Pragma had the opportunity to celebrate this legend and bid him farewell! Between tears and laughter, the group paid the man who steered Pragma to become a leading global engineering firm honour and respect. We salute you Adriaan - you have left a big impression on so many lives and the industry! We know your legacy will continue to impact us for many years to come!

The racing was clean and incident-free and showcased the result of diligent work on my Polo to enhance its reliability - a flawless performance.
