Two weeks ago our second ConnexTion Group 2023 has concluded the final stretch of their South African Heritage Tour.
Every time we have to say goodbye to our groups on the send off there's tears not because of sad but of meeting people that has an authentic love for our people, as South Africans we are amazed at the love but also grateful to be part of their storytelling back home.
We make it a habit to stay in touch with our travelers so that they know they've got a home, a family a community that will always be here.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our international travelers from all around the world! We hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday season.

The tour started off in Johannesburg, the largest city in South Africa. Where they visited the Mandela Museum, which is dedicated to the life of Nelson Mandela, the former president of South Africa. Where our group learned about South Africa’s history of Apartheid and how Mandela's work and dedication was instrumental in its dismantling.

Enroute to Soweto, a township outside of Johannesburg. Where they had the opportunity to get a glimpse into the lifestyle of the locals and learn more about the effects of Apartheid.

Next, they flew to Cape Town, the Mother City. Here, they were able to experience the vibrant culture and diverse landscape of South Africa. Where they've visited the famous Table Mountain, the waterfront, and many of the city’s other attractions.

Travel: Explore the world and learn about other cultures. This will give you a better understanding of the world and how you can make a difference.

The first stretch of the South African Heritage Tour in Johannesburg has been completed including the African Safari River Lodge where for two days the group got go explore the Big 5, and see Lions, Giraffes and many others up close while enjoying the breathtaking bushveld and starry night skyline.

At the Cape Town Lodge Hotel for an insightful session where they've shed light on how expert strategies and cutting-edge solutions go hand in hand.

Our team attended the event and learned some informative ways how to incorporate it into the hospitality industry.

Bo Kaap has been part of our South African Heritage Itinerary and one of the most popular amongst most of our guests. Learning the culture of the Cape Malay people, through a historical walk through the cobbled streets of the Bo Kaap, ending off with a Cape Malay cooking class where traditional curries are the highlight of the afternoon with a family style sit down lunch.
