We apologize for any confusion caused by our previous post. To manage visitor flow while we are still transitioning into becoming fully operational again, we will be accepting bookings only. Currently, the water level at Hillcrest Quarry is rising due to ongoing water ingress. For the first time in 30 years, the water level has reached unprecedented heights.

Please note that no one under the age of 17 should be left unsupervised. In the time being we will not be accommodating large groups in the Quarry to ensure equal opportunity for all guests. When making a booking, please provide the exact number of attendees.

Due to limited parking facilities available at the Quarry entrance during the week, we are currently only open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am-4pm. We will return to normal operating hours from 7am-5pm once we are fully operational again.

We apologize again for any inconvenience and miscommunication on our part.

Hillcrest Quarry is CLOSED.

Due to the heavy rainfall these past few weeks, there is an overflow of water in the quarry area, therefore, we have decided to keep it closed for healthy and safety reasons, until further notice.

Hillcrest Estate's Olive grove is situated on the fertile slopes of the Durbanville hills at 300m above sea level, facing Table Mountain and Robben Island.

The Character of the fruit is enhanced by onshore sea breezes and nutrient rich soils, which prevail in this area. These are nature's ingredients for cultivating the perfect fruit to produce a noble oil for the discerning palate.
