ℹ️Preparation for birth and readiness for complications.
ℹ️ Self-care which includes nutrition and high standard of hygiene.
ℹ️ Information on the father’s role and the family’s as well.
🤰🏻Pregnancy Awareness Week also highlights the importance of pregnant womens’ rights which include the following:
❗️ The right of a woman to choose her companion for providing support during pregnancy and childbirth. The companion may also accompany her to the antenatal care clinic as well as during labour.
❗️ The right of the woman to be treated with respect, dignity and confidentiality.

Preparing for the festive season! 🎄
The International Day of Radiology will take place on November 8 with the aim of building greater awareness of the value that radiology contributes to safe patient care and improving public understanding of the vital role radiologists and radiographers play in the healthcare continuum.
On this day, we promote the seismic impact of radiology on medicine – earlier detection, fewer surgeries, and game-changing treatment outcomes. It is an opportunity, not only to promote these benefits amongst our colleagues in healthcare and the public at large, but to reflect on them ourselves as radiologists.
In this global spectacle, we invite all imaging experts and enthusiasts to stop, reflect on their tireless efforts, and acknowledge radiology’s pivotal role in active patient care.
How to identify a stroke:
The FAST acronym (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) is a test to quickly identify if someone is having a stroke.
🫠Face weakness: Can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped?
💪🏼Arm weakness: Can the person raise both arms?
🗣️Speech problems: Can the person speak clearly and understand what you say?
🕐Time to call for help: if you see any of these signs.
Acting FAST will give the person having a stroke the best chance of survival and recovery.
