Dr Nicole Louw is a Centurion based Chiropractor with a special interest and passion for pediatrics and expectant mommies. Being a family practitioner, she values the importance of health and well being of the young and the elderly, the sportsman and the businessman. She has a true believing in the fact that there is a vast difference between treating effects and adjusting the cause.
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic literally means “Done by hand” and while chiropractic as we know it is 121 years old, for centuries mankind has been using similar hands on techniques for alleviating musculoskeletal pain. Modern day chiropractic is a scientific, evidence-based profession that focuses on manual therapy in the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions that may impact further on your general health and well being. Chiropractic care focuses around the chiropractic adjustment, a manipulation technique of the joints of the spine and extremities. it can then further include soft tissue techniques like massage or dry needling, electrotherapies like ultrasound, and advise on exercise, stretching, posture, activity, diet, and supplementation.
