The popular PINOTAGE & BILTONG FESTIVAL is back in 2022 after a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, and we couldn't be more excited! We have always believed that showcasing 2 of SA's best loved treats, true to our heritage PINOTAGE and BILTONG, speaks to the hearts and palates of many a South African food and wine lover.

NAMAQUALAND BILTONG STUFFING - TO DIE FOR.....
Magic side with your Chicken / Turkey or Gammon !!!
Cook: 30 minutes
Serves: 6
INGREDIENTS
1kg Pork Sausages
250g Biltong, or more as you prefer
180g Onion
50g Walnuts, Chopped
3 Free Range Eggs
4 Tots of Brandy
100g White Breadcrumbs
1 Packet Stuffing Spice, available at most grocers
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Remove skin from Pork sausages
Mix all together in a bowl
Place the stuffing mixture into greased tinfoil, shape into a rectangular mound, wrap it up tight and bake at 180°C for approximately 30 minutes. Serve with a sticky sweet chutney, or plain.
If you want another great treat, make Carpaccio. It’s the slightly cured South African Biltong after a few days which you have moist and we liven up the flavor with black pepper and capers. You can also try balsamic mushrooms and rocket with it. Use high-quality Bitong Cuts like Silverside when making your Carpaccio.

Place over Braai Until Toasted on Both Sides.

The third annual Aurora International Taste Challenge took place at the end of September 2021 near Stellenbosch, South Africa, to celebrate and pay tribute to universal food quality. This event recognizes and award food product excellence while helping consumers purchase award-winning, professionally rated products with confidence. An award is not only a great marketing tool to ensure traction in distribution, wholesale, and retail, but adds subjects and bragging rights to social media posts and articles.
The Aurora International Taste Challenge was held in South Africa for the third year running to celebrate and honour universal food quality. This challenge was established to recognize and award food product excellence, while helping consumers purchase award-winning, professionally rated products with confidence.
South Africa is the home of Droë Wors and Biltong, and the entries in this category consisted of varying quality products. The best examples had the correct moisture content, as well as balanced use of spice and salt. Not only should ingredients be natural, but preferably tie in with an active lifestyle and contain vitamins or minerals as part of a balanced diet...
It is no small task to find the best, as each product was assessed using product-specific criteria, including appearance, smell, taste, mouthfeel, and aftertaste.

Namaqualand Biltong cc was established in 2008. Born with a vision and desire to produce and supply an alternative biltong product to the market. Pure South African meat at it's best. With the realization that no food stuff is more beloved of South Africans, more authentically South African, than biltong.
We believe that the combination of our unique recipes and traditional drying methods play a prominent role in our current success. By using the natural slow drying process without the use of 'dry-ovens' or other processes to hasten the drying cycle, one can quickly taste the difference between natural dried biltong and 'technology' dried biltong.
It is important to note that in our going through this process, we are able to provide a product which is very unique to oursleves, in that very few, if any, other biltong outlets are able to offer. By means of sourcing our products directly from farmers we cut out the feedlot to abbatoir cycle. "Hence no hormones and sustigens", focus being on natural grain fed beef products.
