When it came to taking the first big leap at We are Food and bringing on a team member, you too took a big scary leap and left the safety of the corporate world to dive into the unknown.

From those early days in our parents’ kitchen, arriving in your chef’s whites, we felt a little embarrassed that we couldn’t offer you the slick kitchen you were accustomed to. But, with the utmost class you settled in, got stuck in and took every challenge on the chin.

With the growth of We are Food, we moved, we brought on new team members and some scary second hand equipment… and you my friend were the first to put up your hand to scrub a grubby shelf from an auction, or fill in as scullery when someone let us down. This is the epitome of leadership.

We couldn’t quite comprehend all the pressures on you as a working mum, until we entered that role in life too.

Our Butter Chicken has had a minor makeover! 🐔🐔
We have always added a few roasted butternut cubes to our Butter Chicken dish.
Why, you may ask?
Simply because, 12 years ago when Jane started We are Food out of her parent’s kitchen, she thought the inclusion of perfectly roasted pieces of butternut in a curry would just be delicious.
Twelve years on, our customer base has grown substantially, and it turns out not everyone agrees with her sentiment on this harmless little addition.
So after much back and forth & months of debate we have decided to remove it from this best selling dish and increased the amount of chicken included.
Look out for the new & improved recipe in the latest batch of Butter Chicken, and let us know what you think.
