As we celebrate the incredible women who made this day special, we also celebrate the women that are making things happen today. The role of women in society and in our organisation is one we cherish and appreciate. We live women empowerment and it’s an achievement we are proud of.

As we celebrate Mandela, it’s important to remember that giving back is not a once a year practice.

The significance of Mandela Day is one that is universally understood. As we celebrate his legacy, we found it important to talk about giving as a way of life.

In 41 years of business, the NFS Group has had some golden threads run through the different chapters of the business. Hard work and a deep care for our clients and staff has been a core value and so has giving. Decades before we would develop the NFS Foundation, the importance of giving has been central to the values of the company.

As a company in financial services, we help individuals and businesses alike with their financial matters. Giving is something that can often get forgotten when people speak of how they want to better their lives and it’s often at the bottom of the priority list when things are tough, like our current economy. But it is an essential ingredient of living a successful and fulfilled life.

The family has provided numerous opportunities to its younger staff to train and become entrepreneurs, many of whom run their own successful businesses now,” says NFS Co-founder Madhu Patel

As South Africa celebrates Youth Day, we’re doing our best to help solve the youth unemployment issue that plagues South Africa. We proudly employ 32% youth at the NFS Group and continue to look for more young and ambitious youth to join our team. Our youth is our hope and we believe that it is only through their empowerment that we will see the change that will take us forward. .
