Hertex Fabrics

Founded in 1987 by Peter Herrmann, Hertex began as a humble showroom in Cape Town and has since grown into 19 showrooms countrywide – with more on the way. Today Hertex is a leading supplier of premium fabric and wallpaper for both local and international markets.

HAUS by Hertex started out with a small selection of rugs, which has blossomed into a comprehensive range of globally sourced rugs, furniture, tableware, lighting and other décor accents.

We’d like to say thank you to the company’s founding father, Peter Herrmann, for his vision and hard work.

This group of diverse designs features conversational pieces. Bo-Kaap, which is printed on a 280cm-wide viscose-linen base, pays tribute to Cape Town’s historic Malay quarter, known for its colourful homes, welcoming people and spicy cuisine. Tulbagh too has an air of the past, with a floral display of local flora in a distinctly Cape Dutch-type vase.

Reflect is an artistically composed collection of fabric and wallpaper is an expression of elemental forms in the natural world, and features an on-trend spectrum of colour and texture, while Perfomance Bouclé offers exceptional performance and an incredibly luxurious, sumptuous feel.
