Rospa Imports South Africa Kia Carnival came in for a Steg upgrade.

Himal's request was simple, he wanted a sound quality front stage component set with the ability to go loud while maintaining detail....

Equipment supplied by SCD :

Steg's new processors guarantee a clean signal from any OEM source unit and makes integration a breeze, they also boast built in amplification but in this case it is being used as a pure DSP which feeds signal to the existing Rockford prime amplifiers.

This DSP is controlled by the snazzy small footprint DRC which allows you to choose input source (main,Aux,BT) & is also used as master volume and sub level control. We custom made a 3D printed flush mount holder for the drc and fitted it to the dash console maintaining an OEM look.

For the front stage we chose the mighty STEG MZ650C Component speakers, these beauties are built to go loud and clear while maintaining so much detail that it's almost unbelievable, the midbass kick from this well built driver delivers with authority while the crisp highs come through from the large clear silk dome tweeters.💥

This vehicle will return after the festival of motoring for new subwoofer enclosures and quite possibly the addition of a 3inch midrange and custom Apillars to bring this build full circle.

My clients only request was that we make it a show stopper, gave me his budget and the rest was history 🔥

Let's start at the beginning 🪄

We have done somewhat a full restoration on the entire interior of this vehicle with the following being done brand new :

Genuine leather Twincam seats with 50% custom perforation done on centers for more strength.
Perforated Hoodliner + Sun visors
New floor carpeting
Leather steering wheel
New door cards fabricated and wrapped
New backshelf fabricated and wrapped
A,B,C Pillars aswell as center console resprayed.
Replaced grey seatbelt straps with royal blue straps.
New door rubbers
New boot rubber
New tail light seals
Sound dampening on the entire floor,doors,boot,boot lid,roof.

Sound system /dampening/wiring:

Pioneer indash android auto/apple car play head unit.
STEG Leo 6.5inch components (front)
STEG Master Stroke coaxials (rear)
2X STEG ST10 PRO series subwoofers
STEG QM 70.4 competition series amplifier

The build :

We wanted to keep this old skool beauty looking OEM+ so for the front and rear speakers we opted for subtle panels that conceal the speakers with acoustic cloth, we feel that this was the right way to go and really fits the era of this vehicle.

The boot install is really something to admire with so much of depth and detail, the 3 amplifiers sit snug in the spare wheel well which gave us enough room to do a stainless steel hardline setup for the air ride system. This was our first attempt at hardlines so we know it's not perfect but we did do a good job.

There is simply too much detail to describe but in summary the finishes consist of stack fab panels, custom stitched vinyls, blue plexiglass, custom 3D printed and colour coded covers for air ride fittings, 3D printed air ride remote holder...etc etc..

We will let the pics say the rest, this is truly a one of a kind chisel Corolla.

Project 8R build for Sudeer Joseph 💥💥💥

My clients request was a simple one...He wanted a show level installation with quality products with a specific request for a loud & clear system......and ready to be displayed at Gas Motor show 2024.

We started by concealing the air suspension components but decided to show a little bit of the tank....we did a half raised floor for our sub enclosure to sit on and a viewing chamber for the tank which lights up.

As usual we pull design cues from the vehicle itself and incorporate that into our installs which provides a seamless design flow adding value to an already sexy vehicle.

With any great build some ground work has to be done so all doors and boot were sound dampened with our premium STEG X3 Gold dampening sheets. Custom wiring looms made from pure copper were also laid down.

The overall performance of this system is just phenomenal, these STEG MZ 650C Components get crazy loud and take a ton of power, the JL AUDIO 10W3s do very well in providing that clean bass notes with authority.
