Today, we remember Brahma Baba, the founder of the Brahma Kumaris. He was a family man with 6 children, and a flourishing business. but due to deep spiritual experiences that he had in the early 1930's, he dedicated the later years of his life to his own self transformation through spiritual knowledge, and sharing this empowering knowledge with others. In 1930's India, women were disempowered and yet he made a group of young women the trustees of a new spiritual group. He put young sisters and mothers at the front of teaching others and believed in them so that they became the new leaders after he passed away on 18th January 1969. His qualities of humility, love, wisdom and lightness made him a unique leader who continues to inspire long after he passed away .
