Residents impacted by the 72 hour water shutdown are advised of the following tanker locations until 21:00:

• Lotus River Day Hospital (Delia Rd)
• Grassy Park Civic (Cnr 5th Ave and Victoria Rd)
• Lakeview: at the train station
• Seawinds Community Hall
• Pelican Park: open field next to Pelican Primary School
• Southfield: Opposite Shoprite parking lot in Victoria Rd
• Retreat: Allenby Drive and Elgar St
• Muizenberg Civic Centre
• Heathfield Train Station
• Lavender Hill: St Simons Rd, Montague Village (on the field)

WHEN COLLECTING WATER FROM TANKERS:
• Water from City tankers is safe to drink. It has been tested.
• Store water in clean, sealed containers
• Be mindful of your neighbours who also need water- only collect what you need
• Be patient- you will be served
• Tankers will be available for all three days.

Roaming tankers were considered but given the limited capacity to effectively manage resources, this was not deemed viable.

Let’s all continue to work together to collectively use less than 950 MLD per day. This is so we can keep our dams and reservoirs fuller for longer. Cape Town’s latest dam levels stand at 78,7%. Permanent regulations limiting water use apply at all times.
