FINANCIAL MANAGER – HEAD OFFICE - DURBANVILLE
Description of Position
Conducts planning and management accounting; performs general accounting and reporting; and develops and manages finance staff for the operating units within the Group.
Qualification, Experience, and Technical Requirements
• BCom Accounting / Financial Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Sound knowledge of Accounting Principles; VAT and Income tax laws; Audit requirements; Depreciation based on SARS regulations; Financial Planning Skills
• SAGE Accounting would be advantageous
• Registration as a Chartered Accountant with SAICA

• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent command of the English language (reading, writing, and communicating)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Planning, organizing, prioritizing, and time management skills are important

Roles and Responsibilities
• Preparing periodic budgets, plans and financial forecasts
• Operationalize and Implement plans to achieve budgets; prepare variance analysis for forecasts and budgets
• Perform profit centre accounting and report on profitability
• Manage asset resource deployment and utilization
• Develop cash flow forecasts, and manage cash flows.
• Prepare and post management adjustments.
• Provide fixed-asset data to support tax, statutory, and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare business unit financial statements; reporting/review management
• Conduct financial justification for project approval; record project-related transactions;
• Monitor and track capital projects and budget spending; close/capitalize projects
• Measure financial returns on completed capital projects.
• Approve payments; Research/Resolve payable exceptions; Approve reimbursements and advances.
• Manage corporate credit cards • Define employee performance objectives.
• Review, appraise, and manage employee performance.
• Manage employee skill and competency development.
• Reward and motivate employees.
• Manage employee grievances
Remuneration and Contract
• Permanent Contract
• Annual CTC: R1 000 000 – R1 100 000 (Negotiable Dependent on Experience); Inclusive of Medical Aid, Pension and Company Car Scheme
