Short story time:
Our patient had a little accident in the early stages of life. The teeth nerves & blood vessels were injured & died in the teeth. By virtue of that, the teeth changed colour with occasional abscesses due to the body trying to fight off the dead nerves & blood vessels. She thought that’s the end; she has to take them out. 😞

However, we reassured her that dentistry is not just about taking teeth out. We agreed on a treatment plan to do root canal treatment on both teeth, followed by internal bleaching to correct the staining, which was more suitable to her budget. And it has made a difference in her smile. 😊

Do you know the saying that you get 2 sets of teeth for free, but the 3rd set, you pay for. Well, now you know. 😉

There are various ways to replace missing teeth, such as false teeth (dentures), a bridge (as shown on the picture) or implants.

A dental bridge is a set of false teeth held in place by the teeth on either side of the gap. It is fixed, meaning that you don’t remove them, only your dentist can. They have a lifespan of 10-15 years before you can replace them, unless they break or become loose.

Hello new smile.😊

The main concern our patient had were the spaces between her teeth. We had braces installed to close the midline space, which also helped to open space for the incisors on the sides (lateral incisors). A fixed retainer was placed and we replaced the missing teeth (from birth) with false teeth. Make your dental visit your health visit. ✨🦷
