The light during this sunset family shoot at Bakoven Beach was just magical. The wind was blowing us away, but I always say that this gives texture and movement to the photographs.

This sweet baby girl was the last newborn shoot I had in my old studio. She was an absolute angel and her brother was so sweet with her.

I am often asked, what will happen when your kids don't want to sit and pose for photographs?

Well, let them play, let them be and let them explore. Sometimes the magical photos are where your kids are just being themselves and having fun. I interact with them while they are playing and ask to take pictures for mom and dad, they warm up to me quickly and learn to trust me, so that when it is time to pose for a photograph they are more likely to listen and enjoy the process.

So don't worry, you will have your posed family photograph, it can take a while but it will happen and some magical moments of them in between.

Sweet baby boy at 14 days new. He was so sleepy and melted into my heart with his cuddles.

Newborn shoots are best booked for 6 to 21 days new as they are very sleepy, mouldable and enjoy being wrapped like a burrito.

Matric Dance season is here and all these matriculants look absolutely amazing.

As most of you know the Photography To Remember studio will be moving to Imhoff Farm tomorrow. There are new followers to the page so I thought I would take a moment and reintroduce myself.

Hi, My name is Amy and I am the owner of Photography To Remember . My business has been running for 10 amazing years and is about to enter its 11th year.

I am first and foremost a mom. My son is 10 years old, keeps me on my toes, and is a caring, kind, and gentle soul who adores animals.

My passion besides photography is Latin Dancing. It keeps my mental health in check and a space where I feel truly alive in the moment.

I am addicted to props and buying anything to make the session look and feel as beautiful as the babies I photograph.

Photography, editing, admin, accounts, driver and cleaner - Yes it's all me, I am a 1 woman show.

I am often asked what my favourite shoot is and my honest answer is anything with laughter, love and celebration. I know it seems cliche but it is true.

I want to take the time again and say THANK YOU -- Thank you to everyone for their referrals, reviews, and trust when choosing me to capture their sessions. I am so grateful for every single shoot that I am booked for.

I look forward to meeting many more clients, families and babies in this new chapter.

Sweet Baby arrived in the early hours of the morning.

Mom was incredible, 3 pushes and baby was here. The moments ill never forget when mom says "my baby, oh my baby, you are here"

This beautiful couple came to Cape Town on holiday and did a shoot with me to celebrate one year until they get married. Cape Town was showing off with a beautiful but cloudy day which gave a beautiful and romantic atmosphere for their shoot.

10 DAYS TO GO!

In 10 days, the Photography To Remember studio will move to Imhoff Farm. A lot has happened in the past few days. Movers are booked, couches and display units have been delivered, and my Pinterest board is filling up with ideas on creating a beautiful, homely yet functional space.
