Eskom targets 32% increase for next year | Fin24 Eskom plans to apply for a 32% tariff increase from 1 April 2023/24. The tariff application is under consideration by Nersa, which must make a final decision by Christmas eve.

We've recently extended our BMAC module functionality to enable serial communication between High Current batteries and select Growatt inverters. Since BMAC firmware can be updated remotely, we can also ensure that HC batteries remain compatible in the event of inverter firmware updates/changes, provided that there is an internet-connected Wifi hotspot on site & within range of the BMAC.

Solar or Backup? - Well, it depends . . . .

All too often when considering our current load shedding situation in South Africa, the natural reaction is to reach out to a (hopefully) certified solar professional to enquire about solar.

Renewable energy (Solar) is certainly the best overall solution providing both the ability to withstand load shedding as well as save on electricity spend, thereby recouping the costs of your investment over time. However, many customers are just unable to stomach the initial costs of a full solar install as these can range from R100k - R180k for an average household.
