Help Our Pre-schoolers - HOP

Very grateful to HOP volunteers who step up and step in to help. We can't always share the stories due to their sensitive nature and for privacy reasons but very thankful for our volunteers who are willing to visit a kiddie, organise emergency clothing or just check in when there is a need.

Having fun at the hospital 😊 Thanks to donors and the Amazing Amanda, kiddies at the George Hospital had a blast painting and playing. Thanks again to Louise and others who so generously give to HOP.

Thanks to Louise, who brought these books all the way from Australia 🇦🇺 We were able to pass them on the volunteers helping the foundation phase learners at 's education centre. Thanks Weez 😊

Happy Mandela Day! Thanks to some amazing donors HOP was able to join in throwing a party for kids at George Hospital today. The weather even played with - it was a beautiful day! We are so grateful to each one of you who donated. A special SHOUT OUT to Amanda for being an incredible organizer and party hostess. Enkosi Amanda and team.

We were able to add to their gift packs with beanies, wet wipes, crayons, bubbles and stickers. The party included juice, hot dogs, chips, chocolate, balloons and cooldrink. We were even able to top up toiletries for new arrivals. Heart full of gratitude and glad we could honour Madiba this way.

Over the weekend, we had a bath, and today we were dropped off at our new home - the George Hospital. Thank you .buckleybrent I'm sure we'll bring many smiles to little faces 😀 😃 🙂

We're awaiting care packages (YAY!) and a sunny day and then the amazing Amanda will host the fun. Thank you to everyone who contributed :) The kiddies are going to have a GREAT time!

Our friends at .org_ are hosting a phenomenal ECD session again. They will share insights and ideas from teachers and a doctor will share the basics of first aid when working with kids. We highly recommend this for anyone teaching young kiddies.

Tuesdays are Milestones, Bethesda Medical and Relief Services NPC, days! Thanks to Lex Pex and Daleen for holding up the fort and loving these gorgeous kids! 🤩🙌

In the great sadness of this tragedy, many are coming together to help.

A temporary creche was started at the town hall for the next three days. Klouterwoud parents have already donated toys, colouring books and crayons. Below is a list of other things they still need:

15 baby bowls with spoons
⁠Box of bananas
Finger biscuits x 10 packs
⁠Flings x 30 small packets
Purity x 50 different flavours
Baby formula
Baby baths and soap
Nappies for 2 yr old and younger

You can drop things of at Klouterwoud in Marthinus Street (ask for Michelle or Christa.)

This lovely lady is Amanda. Thanks to she works at the George Regional Hospital - she plays with the kiddies, helps them keep up with school work and forget about their illnesses for a while. With support from our donors we're able to give games, toys and resources for Amanda to use. Thanks for the great work you do!
