Epworth Therapy and Assessment Centre

We’re holding onto hope these chilly winter hols and want to warm the hearts of the special children in our care with a fun and entertaining holiday programme. We’re counting on our fellow holders and spreaders of hope to make this big ask a reality. Donations or sponsorships of sweets, chips, cooldrinks, cookies and cakes, and unused gaming equipment (soccer and tennis balls, cricket bats etc.) would be gratefully accepted and thoroughly enjoyed by our toadily awesome children. Donations and sponsorships can be delivered to 47 9th Avenue, Lambton. Telephone number 011 827 – 5732.

Please note that the Epworth Therapy and Assessment Centre will remain open and operational going forward. The closure of the home is seperate.

Wishing Epworth Children's Village "Toadily Awesome" a very happy birthday, celebrated 104 years on the 2nd of November 2022.... Epworth officially was considered open and it is recorded that by November 2 of 1918, two children were taken into a rented house in Malvern and the work of caring for children in need had begun.
It all began with the dream of the man, who in January 1918, proposed in the Synod of Transvaal District the establishment of a living memorial to those who paid the supreme sacrifice. Rev. Amos Burnett’s
