In the heart of the Serengeti's vast planes,
Where the golden grasses sway and dance,
Lived Bob, a baboon both bold and grand,
An alpha male, wise, in a steampunk land.

With a top hat perched neatly atop his head,
Adorned with cogs and gears, fastened with thread,
He roamed the plains, a sight to behold,
A vision of power, both regal and bold.

His eyes sparkled bright with knowledge and flair,
A leader revered, with a commanding air,
The creatures would gather, both small and great,
To hear Bob's tales, their wise-hearted mate.

“Gather ‘round, dear friends!” he’d bark with delight,
“Let’s unravel the mysteries of day and of night!
For beneath all the stars and the sun's golden beams,
Lies the engine of life, the heart of our dreams.”

With each word of wisdom, they listened in awe,
As he described the wonders of nature’s wild law,
The rhythm of life, the clockwork of fate,
In his poetic voice, they found something so great.

A beautiful summer evening in Hermanus for this month’s First Friday’s ArtWalk and throngs of visitors and locals filled the gallery and enjoyed the art on show!

It’s almost time for the Hermanus First Fridays ArtWalk galleries to host our annual charity fund raising event - NIGHT OF 1000 DRAWINGS. The event will take place on the evening of December 2nd when thousands of A5 artworks will be on sale throughout the participating galleries.
