For a tourist in Hermanus the shopping is never complete without adding a Mardee hat, we guess that's why our fantastic tourists are always happy and smiley after having purchased a one beforeheading back to their home country!!😅🥳

We've had such a beautiful experience with these 2! They are Belgians 🇧🇪 who now reside in Australia. Their first time to see a Mardee hat was in New Zealand 🇳🇿. So they told themselves ain't no ways they are are missing to own a one when they visit South Africa. In the week as we were about to close for the day we received a call from them on our business line, with a request to please wait for them as they had driven from a place almost after Cape Town and were now about to reach Hermanus. And how could we not wait when such an awesome love for our art is expressed!

To cut the long story short, they now are happy Mardee hats owners and not to forget mentioning that they also became the highlight of the day. ❤

KALFIE FEES

The Hermanus Times Kalfiefees which borrows its name from the Whale Festival, was started to bring a cultural experience to the local communities – including Hawston. The mostly Afrikaans festival, which is held around National Women’s day in August, offers some of the best national and local theatrical productions. Festival-goers can enjoy local cuisine and view and purchase the work of local crafters.
