While your baby is in the womb, they can actually taste the foods you eat! That’s right! Flavours from your meals pass through the amniotic fluid, allowing your little one to experience different tastes in their mouth even before birth.
So, what are you craving today? Your baby might just love it too! 😁
Welcome to the world, little one. 💛
Question: If you had not become a gynaecologist, what would you have become?
MyObgyn: “I would be unwavering in the quest to be one.”
Bringing a new life into the world is an incredible journey, and it’s important to prioritise your and your baby’s well-being during this special time.
Here are a 4 gentle reminders about setting boundaries after childbirth:
💛Rest and Recovery: Your body needs time to heal. Give yourself permission to rest and recover.
💛Visitors: It’s okay to limit visits from family and friends. Welcome them only when you’re ready and comfortable.
💛Emotional space: Communicate your needs and feelings with loved ones. They are there to support you!
💛Self-care: Taking care of yourself is crucial for taking care of your baby, whether it’s a short nap, a relaxing bath, or a quiet moment to yourself.
Remember, setting boundaries is a form of self-love and protection for you and your new family.

Yes, period pain can be normal! Menstrual cramps, known as dysmenorrhea, are common and usually occur due to the contraction of the uterus to shed its lining.
However, if your pain is severe or disrupts your daily life, it’s important to consult a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying conditions like endometriosis or fibroids.
If you have concerns about your menstrual pain, Dr Phasha is here to help.

Did you know that linea nigra, or the ‘black line,’ is a common pregnancy phenomenon that affects around 75-90% of pregnant women?
It appears on your belly during pregnancy, caused by hormonal changes that stimulate the production of melanin, the pigment in your skin. This cute line typically shows up in the second trimester and might even get darker if you catch some sun!
The best part? It’s completely normal and usually fades away after childbirth.
So, embrace this little pregnancy badge, it’s a sign of the beautiful journey you’re on! 💛
