Play Africa, located at Constitution Hill in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, is offering a 12-month Play and Learning Facilitator Internship. As a Play and Learning Facilitator intern, you will learn new skills while you provide daily staffing of our children's museum exhibits, programs, and special events. You will engage children and parents/caregivers in a play and learning experience that extends the museum's offerings. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a physical environment that is safe, comfortable, welcoming, and engaging for both adults and children.

As a BBBEE skills development initiative, this opportunity is only available to candidates who meet the stipulated qualifying criteria.

To be eligible, you must be between the ages of 18-34 years, be a South African citizen, have a minimum qualification of matric, have never held a full-time position before or have been unemployed for at least 6 months.

Applicants must have stamina and physical endurance to set up/bring down exhibits and be engaging on the Play Africa floor most of the day, maintaining quality interaction with visitors. You should also have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English.

This is a 40-hour week position that includes weekdays and weekends and/or public holidays. As a Play Africa staff member, you will be expected to demonstrate professionalism and accountability, maintain a high standard of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality, and have the willingness to learn new skills.

20 March 2023 07h30 JW Customer Notice: Emergency shutdown: Burst at Witkoppen road and William Nicol drive

Johannesburg Water apologises to customers in the greater Fourways area who are impacted by the outage.

The team has confirmed that water levels in the network has not sufficiently subsided to allow work to commence.

The reservoir and tower outlets will be opened. It may take some time for the network to be fully restored.

The affected streets in Pineslopes, will be provided with alternate water supply, as the depot management resolves the issue of isolating a portion of the network to attend to the burst.

Bryanston reservoir has been isolated due to the major burst at Sloane street cnr William Nicol drive. Teams are onsite. Once excavation is completed, repairs will commence.

Affected areas include parts of:
Bryanston, Fourways, Magaliesig, Witkoppen, Maroeladal, Craigavon, Dainfern, Lonehill, Beverly, Paulshof , Pineslopes, Magaliesig View and Noscot.
