Radio presenting and production week 2 in session.
In this session was getting acquainted with our new group and doing introduction s to this amazing short course.

Still to come in this course : 3 weeks of radio theory, 5 weeks of radio practical and a final 3 weeks of shadowing with some of our partnering radio stations.

Upon completion these students will be awarded with a short course certificate, recognized nationwide and accredited by the mict seta, a recorded radio reel for marketing and a letter of recommendation from the academy.

Here's a look into yesterday's practical shadowing session at sounds of azania radio station.

The best way to learn how to do anything is by actually doing it.

Our Radio presenting short course students had a changed once more to engage with radio presenters and hosts as part of their shadowing experience.

Week 6- Shadowing!!
Karabo Bafokeng & Yanda Bixa visited our partner Alex FM to shadow and partake in their friends morning show @9-12.

This is a way to test student's cohosting abilities and the ability to thrive in unfamiliar territory!
Feedback says the group was very uncomfortable and their patience was tested. Overall they learnt!

Looking forward to our next shadowing session with our other partners.

Completion and employment alert!!!
Meet Prince Mhlongo,who was placed in one of our learnership program in 2021.
He just completed his NQF L5 sound technology higher certificate with 10 months of workplace experience and a monthly stipend.

Nurturing and cultivating this talent to get into the radio space and compete. With 70% practicality in this short program and a series of radio stations lined up, this is some new talent to look forward to.

Upon completion:
they will be awarded with an accredited certificate of completion (mict seta), a reference of all stations where they have done hours and a professionally recorded radio demo to display to their potential radio employer.
