If I was to be given one word to sum up Coalition - it would be 'quality'. Coalition places a huge emphasis on only using the best quality ingredients without a lot of fuss or frills for the rest.
The fact that I even ate the crust on my first visit (which I rarely do) showed me how delicious my 'Classic' Neapolitan pizza actually was.
On this visit, I chose to sample both the 'Holtini' and the 'Sileshi' and for me the clear winner was the Classic Vegetarian 'Sileshi'... Think mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, onions, goats cheese and rocket with a crushed tomato and fresh mozzarella base! With Coalition, less is definitely more!
Of course, for those of you who are not pizza addicts like me, Coalition do offer a few other items such as salads, slow-cooked beef short rib and oven-roasted Hake. My personal favorite on the salad selection is the 'Not Really': Roasted bone marrow, Italian parsley salad and foccacia. What's not to love about a salad served with flat oven-baked Italian bread (similar in style and texture to pizza dough)! ;)
