As we celebrate Women’s Month in South Africa, Esethu Mancotywa, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of leading construction company Grinaker-LTA, is a woman to inspire! Esethu is a CA(SA) who holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science. She is a seasoned finance professional with over ten years of experience in investment banking and private equity, including pan-African experience. As CFO, Esethu is proud to be part of a company with the ethos of 'Safe today, here tomorrow, quality always'. Grinaker-LTA Group MD Bheki Mdlalose says: “Esethu’s deep finance knowledge, and her valuable experience, are an asset to the company as we continue in our uncompromising quest for operational excellence.”

Well done and a huge congratulations to our Civil Engineering Structures team for achieving 500 LTI Free Days in 168 488.50 hours on the Venetia Underground Project, which took place during inclement weather conditions making it challenging to uphold high-quality safety practices during the various operational activities on site.

We would also like to acknowledge the SHEQ team for ensuring effective planning and ex*****on that significantly contributed to identifying risk areas and implementing sustainable mitigation controls, providing quality and safe work delivery.

August is women’s month in South Africa – and Grinaker-LTA believes in and promotes gender diversity, supporting and encouraging women in construction. The walls run at a slope of 27 degrees.

Happy National Women's Day.

The construction of the BCM1 Silt Trap.

This structure will prevent silt from entering the Pollution Control Dam, which will sequentially prevent the natural water system from getting polluted.

Water stops will be cast into the wall joints to prevent the structure from leaking. The Silt Trap, with the ramp included, is 27.4m long, 6.8m wide, and the walls are 2.95m high
