Ingredients:
Assorted veggies (carrots, broccoli, Brussels sprouts)

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

National Spinach Day - Popeye Approved! 🎉🥗🌱🍃

Get your spinach leaves ready because it's National Spinach Day! A day to celebrate this vibrant, nutrient-packed green that's been fueling Popeye's adventures for years. 💪🍴

Why not make Stewed Spinach tonight to celebrate?

All you need is:
3 Tbsp vegetable oil, 1 sliced onion, 1 sliced green pepper, 1 Tbsp Mild & Spicy Curry Powder, 1 tsp Peri-Peri Powder, 2 potatoes, diced, 750 g fresh spinach leaves and salt to taste.

Begin by heating the oil in a frying pan. Next, add the onion, green pepper, curry powder, and peri-peri powder. Sauté them gently until they become tender.

Then, add the potatoes, along with spinach and a small amount of water. Let it simmer for approximately 10 minutes, giving it an occasional stir, and adding a touch more water as needed.

Finally, season to your liking with salt, and serve it hot alongside some mielie pap. Enjoy your flavourful meal!

Fun Fact: Carrots were not originally orange!

Why not head outside and have a romantic picnic under the stars with your partner? Pack a basket with your favourite foods, a bottle of wine and a cosy blanket and find a spot with a clear view of the stars. It's a romantic and laid-back way to enjoy a meal together.

If you want something delicious and fresh, try out our recipe for a Caprese Pasta Salad! 😋🥗

Ingredients:
The recipe calls for a pinch of salt and pepper, along with about 500g of short pasta, such as penne. You'll also need 1/2 cup of white balsamic vinegar, 1/4 cup of olive oil, and 2 tablespoons of pure honey. Additionally, prepare 1 pound of grape or cherry tomatoes, halved, and thirty grams of mozzarella torn into pieces. Finish off with half a cup of fresh basil, torn into large pieces.

Then all you have to do is boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta as per package instructions; then, drain. In a bowl, whisk together vinegar, oil, and honey, season with salt and pepper. Add pasta, tomatoes, and mozzarella, tossing gently to coat. Finally, add basil and mix. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
