ebforson's winter 2024 is inspired by the organic flow of creativity, the range being appropriately named "Golden Flow". Featuring pearlescent whites and composite leaf details, each hand-sculpted piece makes a bold and unique statement. ebforson makes use of mixed media in their work and all pieces may be ordered with brass, silver or 18k gold plated findings.

pièce de rÊ¡sis¡tance -
an outstanding item or event: SHOWPIECE đ
And at Tuesdayâs Child Jewellery weâre proud to present yet another of our âpièce de rÊ¡sis¡tanceâ creations.
Jane Merrifield, the owner and creative force behind Tuesdayâs Child Jewellery, shares a passion for art deco with the client for whom this exquisite piece was designed. Crafted from sterling silver, it features opal as the centerpiece, complemented by black resin and marcasites.
"The process of fitting the different layers together and ensuring everything lines up perfectly and evenly during soldering for this pendant was really intense," says Jane who also enthuses âIt's the best feeling when a big project finally comes together!â

Hello Jewellery Afrika changemakers! â
Today weâre dazzled by this specially-commissioned, bold, standout ring created by Lynda Marion Jewellery. The piece features 110 of the clientâs old diamonds with the addition of a few more.
âThe piece was fashioned from a wax mould and then cast in non-tarnished sterling silverââ says Lynda. Oxidised silver gives the ring a unique elegance, accentuating its details and shape with the darkened patina. We love!

We discovered Cape Town-based M-Studio (.studio1996) and this one-of-a-kind, brass and silver necklace.
"It may look like we've used a stone in the center, but it's actually 10g's of 925 Sterling Silver that we've melted straight into the bezel," say M. Studio.
We love!

PlatAfrica 2024 entries now open!
This yearâs theme â 'Legacy and Beyond, exploring expressions of what we leave behind'. What spectacular creations will this yearâs entrants conjure?
2024 marks 100 years since Dr Merensky unveiled a treasure trove of Platinum Group Metals (PGMs) in the Bushveld Igneous Complex, adding to the allure of 2024âs theme.
Hosted annually by Anglo American Platinum (Anglo American) in partnership with Platinum Guild International India (PGI India) and MetCon South Africa, PlatAfrica is a flagship initiative for the industry and is intended to champion innovation and technical expertise in platinum jewellery design and manufacturing, leveraging South Africaâs position as the largest producer of platinum in the world.
Entries from professional and student jewellery designers are now open, with participants asked to take inspiration from this yearâs theme: Legacy and beyond.
Over the years, the competition has been a platform for professional and emerging designers to showcase the beauty and versatility of platinum in jewellery craftsmanship.
The competition features three prize categories: professionals, apprentices and students, as well as the Peopleâs Choice award, where the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite jewellery piece. In addition to prize money, winners stand the chance to be considered for participation in an international design sourcing process in 2025.
Metal requests should be submitted as soon as possible and final requests must be received on or before 3 June 2024. Participants must submit their design pieces by 26 July 2024.
Adjudication will take place in August 2024.
