Some immigrant children are still being turned away from schools The basic education department is ignoring a court order and the minister of home affairs' instructions to enrol refugee children who do not have documents, according to GroundUp.
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mr L Zondi. A teacher who only joined us last year and who also happens to be a former learner at Afro-Kombs College.
For any condolences and messages of sympathy you may contact the school at 011 338 5102 or [email protected].
🙏
We would like to welcome all our learners and new parents to a new Academic year and wish all a prosperous 2020.
For grade 0 - 11 spaces still available, contact 0113385102.
I often wonder whether we do not rest our hopes too much upon constitutions, upon laws and upon courts. These are false hopes; believe me, these are false hopes. Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it; no constitution, no law, no court can even do much to help it.
Goodluck on your examinations.
Good morning to all parents and guardians, as we end this term, we implore those who haven't cleared their children's fees to do so. The teachers have done their part, it is time you do yours.
Thank you.
We are 40 years old!!
Hope you all are safe and sound from the break. We pray for traveling mercies for those still on major High ways. Tomorrow it's back to school.
We urge all parents with outstanding documents for their children to come to the school to make updates. The management system as enforced by the Government does not fully recognize a learner with incomplete documents.
Thank you.
Motshekga: Schools shouldn't turn away migrant learners without proper documents Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga has written to the African Diaspora Forum to re-assure the association after learners who don't have birth certificates were refused entry into schools, and others removed.
It's back to school. We wish you all the best.
