Over the next few weeks the Cheffing Academywill be hosting Lenasia's own Cake Boss, Haseena Motala who will personally teach you the tricks of the trade and how to create a masterpiece in the comfort of your own kitchen. Haseena has over 6 years experience in Confectionery and Cake decorating.
With a variety of different courses, these classes promise to keep you busy throughout the year, from effortless "butter icing" , to the elaborate fondant cake covering and the niceties of sugar flower moulding.

For a fun hands on experience join us for:
Butter Icing Course
Change that plain home made cake into something eye catching and special. Learn some easy, effective butter icing skills including basket weave, piped roses, leaves and vines , grass techniques, shell borders, side designs and other cool techniques... Learn how to fill your piping bag and handle it correctly as you master the art of piping on these techniques.

Date: Saturday 8th november 2014
Time: 9a.m. to 1p.m.
Venue: 18 Brookes Rd. Robertsham
Cost: R350 pp

We will also be offering weekday classes on a wednessday provided there are a minimum of 6 students per course.

For all those interested in the butter icing classes please do send me you email addresses as i am sending out details of courses - dates times ect as well as details of optional starter kits for those who have no baking nozzles ... the course will be held over 2 Saturdays for 3 hours each and will cost R500-00 for both days look forward to sharing some skills and learning new 1's as we travel this journey together CANT WAIT ! so with some time on my hands, I'v finally got down to starting with class notes.... Yes that means only 1 thing Piece A Cake is going to be starting classes pretty soon! I'm thinking we could start along the lines of a ~Basic Butter Icing course~ which will cover basic techniques you could use on your everyday cakes and cup cakes with those few *wow* factor techniques you would use to impress now your home made cakes will look like they from an upmarket bakery is what i need from you guys! your thoughts and opnions?! so despite my really crazuy work schedule, im being abit crazier and working right till the last,going on a holiday and flying straight back into work!
