Happy New year to all you beautiful ladies. Rather late than never. 2014 was a huge learning curve for myself and those around me. It took seclusion and a whole lot of deep breaths to reflect on my Life and where I am heading. Being transgendered is absolutely not for the faint at heart. To find myself in a world that looks down on us and still see above all the negativity was one of my biggest struggles as I progressed through my Transition to whom I was truly born to be.

Look up at the sky and aim for the heaven. Don't look down because you will miss the blessings that is been placed right in front and above you. Never fall over a obstacle behind you or under you, as you are already over and passed that. Take a deep breath and ignore all negativity. Set goals and work towards it.

People surprised me on how they welcomed me and invited me into their homes and lives. I thought I lost some of my friends and family for life... I was pleasantly surprised(actually flabbergasted) how I found acceptance from most of them. It has been a scary road that almost claimed my life. You can not travel this road alone.

You need the support of family or good friends that understand. I stepped in a trap that most of us do. We tend to become very self involved and even selfish to try and power our self's through the transition.... often forgetting about loved ones and their actual needs.

Have an open heart and accept that its just as difficult for them to get to know the knew you as you struggle to find your own self acceptance.

Don't question your Gender. Just be who you are. Don't put on a mask and fake it... it will only break it... and even maybe you.

Don't question your sexuality. You and only you know who and or what you are attracted too. What that is to other people should be on a need to know bases(or non of you business and even who cares).... or my new statement is... I don't know and I don't care. Life is to short to get hung up on who you love and or don't.

In the last week i read about 3 Phenomenal people that has lost their will to live as they struggled for acceptance. REMEMBER. IT DOESN'T START WITH THEM. IT IS YOU THAT NEEDS TO ACCEPT YOURSELF BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE.

When You sit down- Instead of crossing your legs at the knees- cross your ankles and move both feet to one side of your body for a more lady like demur position

Before you put stockings on- moisturise your hands to prevent unwanted snags and ladders

If you want a really closer than close shave before a night out find your local barber- the Turkish and middle eastern guys know how to do it best it seems- ask for a steam shave- the smooth result is incredible

R650 from Truworths- It is faux all the way but I love this jacket for its roomy back across the shoulder blades but fitted front.

Help me out here ladies- I am off to the UK at the end of the month and want to buy some beautiful shoes/sandles in bigger, broader sizes- I am thinking size 9 and 10 ( you can get size 8 here) Any need for size 11 do you think? Or should I focus on the 9's and 10's- hugs Castina- oh and what else should be on my shopping list that you cannot get here?

Grab a lovely winter scarf, drape it around your neck once to create a slimming vertical visual line or wrap it around several times to hide a thicker neck and bring focus to the face ( avoid the thick knit variety go for a fine-thin version) Don't forget to add colour in winter- the scarf is a great way to do this- be gorgeous- Castina Venus

The ideal girl shape is hourglass with it's feminine curves. If you have broad shoulders your neckline needs to be reshaped to help accomplish this. Use a fine knit/wispy cardigan worn with a broad collar then wrap the waist to define your middle. Alternatively simply wearing a cardigan open will visually split your torso into three long strips which will slim not only shoulders but a tummy too. Be gorgeous- Castina
