We are looking forward to welcoming the KnitWits of 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day (South Africa) who have chosen to do their annual scarf event in Braamfontein. What a way to Brighten Braam.,

At 3pm Reserve Street will be adorned with colourful, handmade scarves with a note on that says “I am not lost, if you are cold and need me please take me”.

We hope that people that need scarves will be taken with the love they have been made with. There is nothing like a warm handmade woolen scarf!

Braamfontein Substation: We acknowledge a recent power interruption affecting Braamfontein, Parktown West, and surrounding areas.

We have informed our operators, and they are on their way to investigate and fix the problem. We will let you know the ETR once we determine the cause.

While we are working to restore power as soon as possible, we advise customers to unplug their electrical devices to avoid any potential damage or power surge incidents.

We want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to resolve this situation promptly. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.

Please be aware that there are atraffic lights out in Braamfontein this morning please drive cautiously.

Great to see the road at Hoofd and Melle Streets being repaired today.

A joint clean up led by Pikitup Johannesburg with parties from the
Braamfontein Improvement District,
Excellerate cleaning and the Badboyz Security team is happening now.

Contra Fair is hapening this weekend with venues in Braamfontein taking part.

City and arts lovers will given a taste of what will artists and studios working in Jozi have to offer at Contra.Joburg happening on 25th and 26th May - Joburg’s biggest art event of the year.

Being able to criss cross the city and studio hop is a great way to celebrate Jozi talent by going into artist’s spaces and studios.

Inner City SDC: Outage Update

Braamfontein Substation: Power has been restored, with the exception of Jorrison and Juta Streets, following a trip caused by overloading.

The team will cautiously balance and monitor the load and gradually restore the power supply to the remaining streets.
