A hidden gem in Jozi offering trails to ride, run, walk, hike or ramble along. Come play🦓 Illy coffee served during office hours. Our family welcomes YOURS!
Yellow: Non technical; for beginners and the "not so fit" - 10km
Orange: Some technical; for intermediate riders - 15km
Green: Technical; for more advanced riders - 20km
Red: Very technical; for experienced riders - 35km
At the moment we have the following routes
Hiking:
5km of Yellow boards with blue arrows.
13km of Orange
22km of Green with some Blue challenges looping off and then coming bac

Join the Snifari at Thaba Paws!
Bring your furry friend to Thaba Paws,
Where snouts lead the way and wagging’s the law.
On this Snifari, adventure awaits,
With the Teeny Five—let’s meet the greats!
First, there’s the duiker, so dainty and quick,
With legs so nimble, like magic, they flick.
But blink and you’ll miss them, they’re masters of stealth,
They tiptoe through grass, all in good health!
Then there’s the dassie, who sunbathes with flair,
A rock rabbit that’s not really rare.
It’s cousin to elephants, can you believe?
Though it’s small and quite round, with tricks up its sleeve!
Next, the guineafowl, with feathers so bright,
They cackle and chatter, a real noisy sight.
But they’re quite the watchdogs, with eyes sharp and keen,
Spotting danger before it’s ever seen.
And the mongoose, so daring and sly,
They’ll chase after snakes, fearless and spry.
But don’t be alarmed if they give you a wink,
They’re plotting their next mischief, quick as a blink!
Last but not least, there’s a legend to share,
Of Red, the ginger cat with a mysterious air.
He prowls in the shadows, elusive and sleek,
A flash of orange fur, then he’s gone in a streak!
So leash up your dog, bring them along,
To Thaba Paws, where the snifari’s strong.
Who knows what you’ll find, or who’ll greet you first?

Yesterday I was riding along the trail that runs parallel with Impala Road. It was stinking hot and the cars were flying past me with their tinted windows and aircons. I was struck with the irony that whilst they were living their city life, here I was experiencing the exquisite beauty of Africa! I wonder how many of them looked left and saw the three blesbok mommies with their sweet babies?
Here we have a slice of Paradise! Here we have a place to explore! Here we can make memories!

Real Trails for Real Fanatics
Yellow: Non technical; for beginners. Only 5 km but in a beautiful Tree lined area.
Orange: A short version of the Green/Blue with most of the hills taken out. A lovely trail for a short effort and the difficulty depends on you. Suitable for most riders ...beginner and intermediate...and those NOT SO FIT..YET.
Green/Blue: Some technical; for intermediate riders. The main trail used the most. Offering a safe and challenging ride of 25 km. There is something for everyone
Blue: Very technical. Not recommended for in-experienced riders. On request of the riders a rough trail with serious obstacles and rock faces...nothing too technical to walk.
