After a very successful 13 show tour in Feb and March, we just wrapped up the German leg of a short run in Europe with Bongeziwe Mabandla in Berlin. Next up Ante Festival in Zurich, and then Feastaville in CPT and main stage at Bush Fire Eswatini.

Had a busy few weeks. Started off real wet at the Cherry Jazz Festival in Ficksburg, many shows at the Joy of Jazz with Zamajobe, The Jaziel Brothers, Bokani Dyers project Radio Sechaba and lastly Steve Dyers Mahube. Was an interesting experience working on all 3 stages. Found some room modes ! A few corporate shows with Bongeziwe Mabandla, a sold out State Theatre show for Zonke where I maxed out the 96 channel count on a Digico SD12. Ended off with a sold out Hugh Masekela heritage festival at Nirox, hanging with some old homies. The rest of the year is looking pretty jammed too. Be safe out there.

I had a great time this past week on Reunion Island at the Sakifo music festival hanging out with awesome people who are also awesome musicians. I handled the audio for 3 fantastic South African acts, BCUC opened the main stage, Bongeziwe Mabandla opened up Poudriere stage where I had worked previously with Ray Phiri and the following day Radio Sechaba had a great slot on the TI Bird stage. Le Magic! "NERD ALERT" all stages featured sound systems from Meyer Sound, Leo, Leopard and Mica, Yamaha CL5s and a Soundcraft VI400.

Interesting setting for an event a while back.
Another gig under the belt, this time with some more awesome talent that I have worked with for many years, they go from strength to strength with a truck load of hits and a spectacular band backing them, The Jaziel Brothers. Runnjng front of house, monitors and a multi track recording off an Allen and Heath Sq5 through a fantastic KV2 point source sound system.

Had some good times working the Joburg leg of the Bongeziwe Mabandla tour with my good homey and audio ninja Gavan . Nice to be working shows and catching up with some other colleagues from way back when.
