Ben Sherman is a renowned global clothing and lifestyle brand known for its origins in shirt-making dating back to 1963 when Arthur Sugarman founded it in Brighton, later adopting the name Ben Sherman. The brand has grown into a symbol of sophisticated British style, notably recognized for its iconic button-down shirts. While initially rooted in shirts, Ben Sherman has expanded its product range to encompass various lifestyle categories. It embodies values of attitude, self-respect, and modernism.

Arthur Sugarman, known as Ben Sherman, was characterized as an entrepreneur, maverick, and visionary. He infused his passion for fabric and color into the button-down shirt, initially discovered during his time in America, thus etching his mark on British clothing history.

Throughout its 50-year history, Ben Sherman has transitioned through different cultural movements, from being a staple of the Mod movement to becoming associated with 2-Tone, Ska, and later the Britpop era. Despite evolving, the brand maintains its appeal across generations, attracting both new, younger consumers and retaining loyal older fans, including celebrities and rock stars.

Chapman & Moore has a rich and evolving history dating back to 1794 when it began as a supplier of gentleman's accessories on Old Bond Street. Like many venerable brands, it experienced periods of closure and dormancy. However, it found new life when a renowned Northampton shoemaker acquired the name, using it to offer a collection of classic English welted shoes in mainland Europe.

After another period of dormancy, the brand was revived through a fortuitous conversation during a flight to India, leading to its acquisition by the current owners. This marked the beginning of Chapman & Moore's current chapter, which includes the relaunch of the brand alongside the establishment of a welted factory.

Remaining a small, family-run business, Chapman & Moore designs and develops all its products in the UK, ensuring quality and fit by using English-made lasts. Materials are sourced from Europe and South America, and skilled craftsmen and women assemble the shoes in a partner factory in India.

The collection features a blend of Goodyear Welted leather classics and contemporary cemented construction menswear, often complemented by other brands sharing similar values and styles. The overarching goal of Chapman & Moore is to make high-quality shoes accessible to all, reflecting their passion for footwear and inviting inquiries from customers who share their enthusiasm.

The Start of Goorin Bros.
In 1895, Goorin Bros. founder, Cassel Goorin, traveled the streets of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a horse and cart full of hats. Cassel took immense pride in the artistry of making hats. In 1949, Cassel’s sons, Alfred, and Ted, took over the family business. They relocated the business to San Francisco. The first retail store for Goorin Bros. opened at Mission and First St in SF.

The Farm
The Farm, which is a major part of Goorin Bros. today, became a part of the brand in 2003. Ben Goorin was exploring new patch designs for trucker hats. The Swine, The Beaver, The C**k, The Goat, and The Ass were the original animals that were used for the signature line of Goorin Bros. trucker hats.

Legacy
In 2022, Goorin Bros. headwear is hotter than it has ever been. Today, the company embraces the spirit of human connection and transformation. The legacy of Goorin Bros. currently continues with the trucker hats being spotted across the globe.
