WITHIN CONTEMPORARY MIST
Solo/ Sibusiso Ngwazi
Turbine Art Fair
27 - 20 July 2023
Hyde Park Corner
Curated by Ivy Rihlampfu
Contemporary times serve as a blank canvas on which to explore new interpretations of the world around us. Conception, Ideation, creation and finishing of the artwork is the birthright of the artist over and over. It is influenced by progress and the direction stands familiar/ unfamiliar for the demigod.
The solo exhibition will look into the methods applied inorder to create artworks and tapping into the artist's voice and space to create. It means going beyond the usage of materials. It's about circulating within the subject matter to bring forth the latest discoveries within the flow or creation time causing an overlap of subject matter that introduces futuristic methods of making art. For Sibusiso, he steps into the unknown to create artworks as an abstract painter he frequently blindfold himself to create works and by so doing stepping greater consciousness.
Sibusiso method of creating art that comes from different angles of creating art.
The inspiration to create comes in forms that are unexpected and this gives us a sense of their world. The body of work seeks to uncover and understand how the artist is inspired to create within the whilst in the mist.
