I do not want to be remembered as a woman who was always exhausted. I do not want to be remembered as a woman who was always stressed, always busy, always rushing, always holding herself together and pushing through.
I would like to be remembered as a relaxed woman, a compassionate woman, a curious, joyful, pleasure-loving woman. A woman who works hard and rests deeply, who loves fiercely and lives peacefully.
A woman who knows her worth and her power, who accepts her imperfections and her vulnerabilities, who embraces her limitations and her possibilities.
A woman who laughs and cries and aches and loves and is enchanted by the mess and magic and mundaneness of this beautiful, shimmering life. Happy Women’s Month!

Valentine’s Day can be difficult for those who have experienced relationship-related trauma or loss. The holiday may trigger memories and emotions related to past experiences, leading to increased symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental health conditions. To mitigate these negative effects, it is essential to recognize that Valentine’s Day is just one day of the year and that expressions of love and appreciation can be shared throughout the year. It is also important to prioritize self-care, reach out to friends and family, and seek professional help if necessary.
One in five of South Africa’s high school learners have tried to take their own lives – and this figure is climbing. We need a systemic, community-based and intersectoral approach to prevent teen su***de.This will help to challenge the myth that su***de is a young person’s choice and acknowledges the role of systematic factors like the lack of access to quality mental health services play in su***de. ***dePreventionandAwarenessWeek

Thank you for joining Heal SA on our su***de awareness hike.
Su***de doesn’t end the chances of life getting worse, it eliminates the possibility of it ever getting any better. Join us on this hike as we raise awareness on su***de prevention in our communities
Mental illness is common among entrepreneurs. One in four entrepreneurs will experience a mental health disorder in their lifetime. Anxiety and depression are the most common mental health disorders among entrepreneurs. Anxiety can manifest itself in many ways, including fear, restlessness and difficulty concentrating.
Mental wellness knows no boundaries – a universal right that deserves our attention. Let's break cultural barriers and stigma together.
Heal SA is attending the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (OWLAG) Conference called “What Happened to You: Understanding the Impact of Trauma on Learning, Teaching, and Psychological Functioning.
Stigma and discrimination continue to be a barrier to social inclusion and access to the right care; importantly, we can all play our part in increasing awareness about which preventive mental health interventions work and South Africa's Mental Health Month is an opportunity to do that collectively. At Heal SA we envision a world in which mental health is valued, promoted and protected; where everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy mental health and to exercise their human rights; and where everyone can access the mental health care they need. #
