Hello!

So this is us - somewhere along the wild coast adventuring… during our December holiday we met up with Manie’s family for Christmas and I decided to take a few family photos of the Luyts. Manie’s sister was kind enough to take my camera and capture a few photos of myself, Manie and our lovely dog Hops!

I thought what a great way to reintroduce myself (And Manie and Hops).
Usually when I book a couple/family shoot Manie will bring Hops along and throw him the ball in the park - chances are very good you will meet them on a shoot 🤣.

We love adventuring, beer, camping and new beautiful places…

I’ll share some more of this shoot as I just loved how easy it was!
Manie’s family don’t usually love taking photos but for this session I told everyone to just forget that a camera is present, enjoy a drink, the empty beach and the time together - it turned into a beautiful documentation of a lovely day.

The moment it all becomes real ❤️

Moments before we rushed to the car and drove to the ceremony Chrisél asked for the letter Robin wrote to her on their wedding day.

The wind outside was crazy and everyone was afraid of being late, packing away bags, anxiously looking for breath mints and lipsticks… then it all faded away and Chrisél’s pure, quiet excitement filled the room… I remember observing her and in that moment time stood still.

Let’s talk Wedding stationary.

As much as I love the idea of making a wedding more sustainable, I have to admit that there is something undeniably special about printed wedding stationary. I'm talking Save The Dates, Invites, Programs etc.

Usually a lot oh thought and effort goes into the design of stationary but they live on the internet and eventually life takes over and the stationary is inevitably forgotton.

I highly recommend you print a few full sets of your wedding stationary for photos and to add to your wedding keepsake box. (I am sure the mothers would love a set as well! 😉)

A vegan wedding in a veggie garden… the stuff dreams are made off!

The afternoon was spent underneath a big tree with the couple’s nearest & dearest. Drinks were flowing and everyone had the best time!

At the moment we are heading to Haenertsburg for a wedding and we are beyond excited because this time we will be attending as guests and not as photographers 🎉.

But I started thinking how lucky I am that I have been able to document so many weddings where I felt welcomed as not only a service provider but also as a guest.
