Why the name?

Henning Hüsing (sometimes spelt Huising or Huisen) was South Africa’s first entrepreneur. He was a farmer that supplied meat to the VOC and passing ships from 1678 and onwards.

Our name pays homage to the legacy of Henning Hüsing.

A new publication has just been released, covering the enigmatic PRO PATRIA MEDAL, probably one of the most recognised symbols of the SADF, and to thousands of “Troepies” who saw Border Service.

The book is a must for the medal collector, as it covers all the Types and Varients of the Pro Patria (A total of 10), with a comprehensive write-up, documentation and pictures of these, the manufacturing process, and the ribbon accoutrements I.e: Bars, Clasps, and Symbols that adorn the Medal ribbon.
